GTI Suspension
Handles like a dream.
From handling the everyday drive to the times you may want to liven things up even more. With Sport Select Suspension, you can alter the tuning to a firmer ride, as the dampers take on the characteristics of true sports suspension.
This is all done through the Driving Profile Selection, where the driver can choose from Normal, Sport, Eco and also Individual for a truly personal feel.

The Polo GTI is loaded with intelligent driver assistance systems to keep you safe by helping you deal with critical situations, or even avoid them. Even if you don’t always notice this technology, it feels good to know that they’re there.
City Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Monitoring3

A radar sensor detects when a vehicle or pedestrian suddenly enters your path without warning and automatically applies the brakes to reduce the likelihood of a collision.

Whether reversing out of a busy parking lot or trying to squeeze into a tricky spot, an extra set of eyes are always handy.
Extended Electronic Differential Lock (XDL)
Turn a corner on traction.
When cornering, it responds to the load relief at the front wheel on the inside of a corner. This improves traction and reduces the tendency to understeer.

Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)3
Cruise on through.
The cruise control system with Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), available with the optional Driver Assistance package, lets you set the speed you want to travel and the gap you want to allow between you and the car in front. Using a radar sensor, the car then maintains your speed and your distance.
Blind Spot Monitor with rear traffic alert3
Keep an extra eye out.
The Blind Spot Monitor, available with the optional Driver Assistance package, uses an LED display in the exterior mirror to alert you to potential dangers in your blind spot. It works in conjunction with the Rear Traffic Alert system, which monitors traffic passing at the rear of the vehicle. If your car comes too close to another vehicle, you will be alerted by audible and visual warnings.
Park Assist3
Take the drama out of parking.
The Park Assist system, available with the optional Driver Assistance package, in the new Polo lets you park like a machine. When parking, it scans the side of the road for the perfect spot, and once engaged, it automatically steers itself into parallel parking spaces or parking bays and even out of parallel spaces again.
Proactive occupant protection system
Be prepared for emergencies.
The proactive occupant protection system, available with the optional Driver Assistance package, detects dangerous situations and automatically takes precautionary actions. The windows and the sunroof are closed to a small gap to optimise the effect of the head and side airbags, and the front seat belts are tensioned. Once the danger passes, the belts are loosened and the side windows and sunroof can be opened again.

The power to move.
The Polo GTI’s 2.0 litre turbocharged TSI engine really packs a punch, pumping out 147kW of power and 320Nm of torque. And all that performance doesn’t come at the cost of fuel efficiency, with the Polo GTI consuming a modest 6.1L/100km4.
